One of the primary purposes of the Global Cardiovascular Nursing Leadership Forum is to share information and educational materials that help educate patients about the risks of cardiovascular disease and stroke – which remain a global epidemic though they are largely preventable. As nurses form the largest healthcare discipline globally, GCNLF works from the premise that nurses have the capacity to influence and motivate health behavior change of individuals at risk.
This library, which we will continue to enhance and expand, serves as a resource for nurses and other health providers working on the front lines to provide patient education all around the world. At this time, we have patient education materials on the following topics:
- Angina
- Atrial Fibrillation and Stroke
- Blood Pressure
- Cholesterol
- Heart Failure
- Heart Surgery
- Lifestyle – Nutrition, Exercise, Tobacco
- Peripheral Artery Disease and Blood Clotting Abnormalities
Educational materials are for informational purposes only and are not intended to replace medical advice or diagnose or treat health problems.
