Special Celebration: 2020 the Year of the Nurse

By Katy Walter

The World Health Organization designated 2020 as the Year of the Nurse. Watch the inspiring international celebration of cardiovascular nurses hosted during the NIPC’s 7th National Prevention Conference (November 2020).

This special celebration commemorates the history of the field of nursing, defines the unique position cardiovascular nurses occupy in reducing the global burden of cardiovascular disease, and advocates for the ongoing support of cardiovascular nurses through providing high quality continuing education, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. The celebration and call to action features GCNLF’s own Kim Newlin, Robyn Gallagher, Lis Neubeck, Maria Hayes, and Catriona Jennings. Enjoy!
